My coastal hiking tour is 4 hours in duration and can enjoy 3 hours of hiking and hear some of the history and geology of Banks Peninsula. I tailor the tour to suit the wishes and abilities of my guests. Within 20 minutes of the city centre you really feel like you are the only people to be out there. If the weather isnt looking good happy to adjust the start time to make the best of what the day offers.Whilst walking along the coastal track we can view sheep grazing, plenty of birdlife and spectacular coastal scenery and the far off mountains,. Walk as much or as little as you like to suit your level of fitness. My support vehicle can leap frog you as you walk and pick you up at any stage. At the conclusion as an option you can enjoy a homemade picnic largely harvested from my organic garden. We will choose a spot with great views and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Please add on an extra hour for lunch and $30 per person.
I pick up guests anywhere in the city centre area and can also do airport pick ups if required for an additional fee.
We can enjoy the beautiful views from the Coastal tracks at the entrance to Lyttelton Harbour as well as the 2nd world war defence batteries and the Historic Captain Scott hut which has been placed close by since the Christchurch Earthquake in 2011.
Often take a walk to the top of Cave Rock to enjoy the view over one of Christchurch s most popular swimming and surfing beaches as well as the view over to Scarborough Hill and back over to the Southern Alps beyond the city.
Enjoy the view from the top of Evan s Pass over towards Lyttelton and Diamond Harbour beyond. See the amazing work done to remedy the road after the earthquake in 2011.
