Mikumi is Tanzania’s fifth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time.

1Mikumi National Park
Our driver will pick you from your hotel and transfer to Dar es Salaam SGR train station for electric train to Morogoro Town which depart at 0600am and arrives at 0750am. On arrival you will meet your driver guide who will drive you to Mikumi NP after breakfast. Drive to Mikumi NP will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. On arrival in Mikumi NP you will start with game drive and after few hours you will have break for lunch. After lunch you will proceed with game drive up to 15:00pm, and then drive back to Morogoro SGR train station for your train to Dar es Salaam which depart at 0720pm and arrives at 0910pm. On arrival in Dar es Salaam you will meet our driver who will transfer you to your hotel. Mikumi NP was established in 1964 covering an area of 1070 square kilometers; it was later extended in 1975 to cover the current area of 3,230 square kilometers. The park is the seventh largest National Park in Tanzania and the most accessible from Dar es Salaam throughout the year.
