Lake Pehoe is a pristine and mesmerizing body of water nestled within the stunning landscapes of Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. Its striking turquoise color, framed by rugged mountains and surrounded by lush forests, creates a captivating and almost surreal scene that enchants all who lay eyes upon it.
Named after the Swedish geologist Otto Nordenskjold, this glacial lake boasts a striking deep blue hue that reflects the sky and surrounding mountains, creating a mesmerizing visual symphony. Fed by the Paine River, the lake's waters originate from the melting ice of the imposing Paine Massif, which adds a touch of purity to its allure.
A visit to Laguna Amarga offers more than just visual splendor. The lake is often a starting point for explorations deeper into the park, with hiking trails leading to nearby attractions such as the iconic towers of Torres del Paine, forming a gateway to the park's most renowned sights.
