Follow the path of Hungarian kings and amazing legends of the Middle ages
The Danube Bend is at North from Budapest, a spectacular natural area with old ruins and historical attractions.
The tour visits the main points of the Bend through stories from the Hungarian Middle ages and Renaissance.
The three cities we visit are Esztergom, Visegrád, and Szentendre. A religious, a royal and an artistic center of Hungary.
We cross the Marie Valerie Bridge from Hungary to Slovakia to admire the beautiful view from one country to the other.
After that, we go to the most Northern point of the tour; Esztergom. Here we visit Hungary's largest Catholic church and building in general, the Basilica of Esztergom. Here we can go up to the top the admire the amazing view of Hungary and even a bit of Slovakia too.
The second city is Visegrád, this is the main point of the tour with the royal castle and fortress. Here we travel in time, as the title says; follow the path of kings and legends. This is the most historical part of the tour with seeing pictures from the 1400' to compare it with the view today.
King Matthias Museum
The last town is Szentendre, the City of Artists. After a couple of hours of the interesting Hungarian history, we will be about just in time to do a little shopping while wandering around the small, cobblestone streets of the village.
