The magnificent Church of Gesù Nuovo is located in the historic center of Naples. The façade is characterized by a diamond-studded ashlar wall which was part of the pre-existing noble palace turned into an ecclesiastical building at the end of the 16th century.
Spaccanapoli corresponds to the lower decumano of the Greek city which, seen from above, divides the city into two. Along this artery there are some of the main places of interest in the historic center, such as the church of Sant'Angelo al Nilo, which preserves a work by the sculptor Donatello; the church of San Domenico Maggiore, with the homonymous square; the church of Santa Chiara.
Via San Gregorio Armeno is famous for its native scenes and its artisan shops. Before taking the road there are the churches of San Paolo Maggiore and San Lorenzo Maggiore, located a short distance from each other. Walking through it, however, you can admire the various shops open all year and are a tourist attraction especially during the Christmas period.
