Meeting and pickup
We provide free pickup & drop-off from hotels, guesthouses and villas within Udawalawe town and nearby areas (within 5 km of the park). Pickup from Embilipitiya, Thanamalvila, Wellawaya or other towns can be arranged for an additional fee — contact us after booking to confirm pickup location and price. Guests from Colombo or Ella can request private transport to Udawalawe; please message us for a custom quote.
If meeting us directly, please come to the Udawalawe National Park main entrance gate. Our driver will wait near the main entrance.
What to expect
Inside the park, you’ll explore open grasslands, waterholes, and forested areas where wild elephants roam freely. With the help of your experienced driver, you’ll have excellent chances to see elephants, water buffalo, crocodiles, spotted deer, peacocks, and many bird species in their natural habitat.
