Escape the city and enjoy a half-day adventure to quaint Segorbe, a hilltop medieval treasure northwest of Valencia and in the heart of the Alto Palancia region. Explore Segorbe Castle, used throughout the centuries, and now a peaceful park where you can soak in sweeping vistas over the valley below. Wander along sections of the old town walls, spot the surviving Executioner and Jail Towers from the 14th century, and marvel at the 13th-century Segorbe Cathedral, built over a former mosque and the only one in the Province of Castellón. Dependent on walking speeds and timings, we may also have time to visit the Fuente de los 50 caños (Fountain of the 50 Spouts), an ornamental monument with fifty spouts representing each Spanish province, set on the Palancia River’s bank. With private transport, a dedicated local guide, and a flexible pace, this tour is the perfect way to experience Segorbe’s history, architecture, and stunning landscapes in just a few hours.
