One of the most astonishes natural wonders in Mexico is Cacahuamilpa's grottoes. Originally discovered by a man who used it as a temporary hideout, the grottoes were created by the current of San Jerónimo's river, which flows 311ft below the grottoes. So wear your best sports shoes, the grottoes demands 2 hours of your time to see them, but every step will worth it, making you feel the greatness of nature which offers this national park.

Taxco de Alarcón owes its name to the dramaturge Juan Ruiz De Alarcón y Mendoza, who was born in this town that belongs to the national program of "Magical Towns " to recognize those locations in Mexico which still preserving their material and cultural heritage. The town has nowadays a large tradition on silver jewelry of excellent quality, rustic architecture and an amazing church that poses an amazing baroque style with majestic altarpieces.
