What to expect

Break up your Ella to Yala trip: Kayak a peaceful lake, cook an authentic wood fired meal, and connect with a local village school.

Stop 1: Arrival & local community walk (30 min)
We begin with a gentle walk through the village. You will see traditional home gardens, meet local families and visit the heart of our community-the village school-for a unique glimpse into the local education system and a chance to interact with the smiling face of the next generation.

Stop 2: Lake Kayaking adventure (45 min)
Grab a paddle and hit the water. We will navigate the calm, scenic waters of the village lake. This peaceful paddle offers stunning mountain backdrops, glimpses of local fisherman and incredible wildlife away from the crowds.

Stop 3: Traditional Cooking Class (1.5 to 2 Hours)
Step into a rustic clay kitchen fro a hands on culinary journey. Using fresh, hyper-local ingredients, you will learn the secrets of balancing Sri Lankan spices, scraping fresh coconut, and cooking over a traditional wood-fire stove. The best part?
