Our office is situated at the southeast corner of the Central Park in Caño Negro town
This tour begins with travelers boarding a comfortable covered boat and enjoy a relaxing safari along the Río Frío, passing pristine wetlands, tropical forests, and calm jungle waterways. As the boat moves slowly along the river, it’s common to spot howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, and occasionally spider monkeys in the trees. Sloths rest in the canopy, while caimans, crocodiles, turtles, and iguanas appear along the banks. Caño Negro is also a world-class birdwatching destination, with sightings of jabiru storks, spoonbills, kingfishers, herons, anhingas, toucans, and parrots. A certified naturalist guide shares insights about local wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation, creating an educational and peaceful experience in one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse regions.
