With over 1000 rooms, the Vatican Museums can be difficult to navigate alone. Allow our expert historian guide to uncover the incredible artwork, sculptures and tapestries the museums have to offer. Expect work from Da Vinci, Rafael, Michelangelo and much more.
After the museums, we will head to the world-famous Sistine Chapel, best-known for its breathtaking frescoes painted by Michelangelo himself. Stand in awe and hear the secrets and stories behind this masterpeice.
Our small group experience allows you to ask questions and interract with the guide on a personal level.
Please note: Knees and shoulders must be covered inside the Vatican.

Meeting and pickup
Please meet us at the top of the steps on the corner of Viale Vaticano 100, next to Caffé Vaticano. Your guide will be there holding a yellow Carpe Diem Rome flag. Please arrive 10 minutes priorly. Late arrivals will not be eligible for refunds. Please ensure to check local Covid-19 regulations.
Our tour will conclude after visiting the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel.

We’ll begin at the Vatican Museum, a labyrinthine complex featuring over 1000 rooms that cover a jaw-dropping four millennia. Those visiting unguided often find themselves dazzled by the plethora of works on display here - which can make it somewhat difficult to navigate. But our guides have curated a bespoke route through the museum that packs in all the best bits - without leaving you lost for hours in its maze-like corridors.

2Sistine Chapel
Our next stop is the world-famous Sistine Chapel, best-known for its sprawling ceiling art painted by Michalengelo in the 1500s. This seminal work is said to have changed the course of Western Art - which may sound a tad dramatic, but trust us: when you see it, you’ll believe it. The rules dictate silence upon entry to the chapel, which isn’t usually a problem - it’s sheer beauty leaves most speechless.
