Your guide will meet you at Orchha Fort and take for Orchha tour. The Orchha Fort is a grand 16th-century historical complex in Orchha, Central India, perched on an island along the Betwa River. Built by Bundela Rajput ruler Rudra Pratap Singh, it features a striking mix of Rajput and Mughal architecture, palaces, and ancient murals. 2Chaturbhuj Temple
The Chaturbhuj Temple in Orchha, Central India, is a 16th-century masterpiece built by the Bundela king Madhukar Shah. Famous for its tall 344-foot spire and cross-shaped layout, it blends temple, fort, and palace styles. Name "Chaturbhuj" means "one who has four arms," referring to Lord Vishnu or Rama. Looks like a tall skyscraper with a mix of fortress and palace designs.

3Lakshmi Temple
The Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Orchha, Central India, was built in 1622 by Raja Bir Singh Deo and reconstructed in 1793 by Prithvi Singh. Located about 1 kilometer west of the main village on a rocky hilltop, it is famous for its unique blend of fort and temple architecture, stunning 17th-to-19th-century murals, and empty inner sanctum. Though dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the temple houses no idol in its sanctum today. Features high triangular/square defensive walls, corner bastions, and built-in gun/cannon slots.

4Chhatris Cenotaphs
The Royal Cenotaphs (Chhatris) of Orchha in Madhya Pradesh are a collection of 14 striking memorial structures built along the peaceful banks of the Betwa River. Erected during the 17th and 18th centuries, they honor the rulers of the Bundela dynasty. Features a grand mix of Rajput and Mughal styles with square bases, soaring spires, and fluted domes. No one is buried inside; they are massive commemorative monuments built near royal cremation sites. The grand three-storied Chhatri of Maharaja Bir Singh Deo stands out for its palace-like scale and fine carvings.

5Betwa River
Take a peaceful riverside walk alongside a vibrant local market near the Ram Raja Temple offering traditional Bundelkhand crafts, handlooms, and local street food. River rafting in Orchha takes place on the scenic Betwa River, offering gentle Grade I to II rapids suitable for beginners. Tickets cost around INR 1,000 per person for a one-hour session, operating daily typically from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM outside the monsoon season. Route & Packages: Options range from a 90-minute package (3.5 km from Kanchan Ghat to Shiv Ghat) to a 3-hour package (6 km up to Note Ghat). Capacity: Rafts fit up to 6 people, including trained instructors Best Time: October to March offers the best water flow and weather. It stays closed during monsoons (April to September).
