  The Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon

  At the mountaintop, visit the iconic bronze statue of Our Lady of Lebanon — standing 8.5 metres tall at 650 metres above sea level, arms outstretched toward the Mediterranean below. One of the most recognisable religious monuments in the Middle East, surrounded by the Maronite Basilica and neighbouring churches that form one of Lebanon's most important Christian pilgrimage complexes.   Board the famous Harissa Téléférique cable car at the Jounieh seafront and ride up 650 metres above sea level to the mountain sanctuary — one of the most exhilarating and photogenic experiences in Lebanon. The aerial views over Jounieh Bay, the sparkling Mediterranean coastline, and the Lebanese mountain ranges on the ascent are among the most spectacular in the country. A highlight of the day that combines pure exhilaration with genuinely unforgettable scenery.

  Baatara Gorge Waterfall

  The climax of the day — and one of the most dramatic natural sights in the entire Middle East. The Baatara Gorge Waterfall near Tannourine is a phenomenon found nowhere else on earth: a 255-metre waterfall that plunges sequentially through three natural limestone bridges, carved over millions of years by the Balaa river into the Jurassic limestone of the Lebanese mountains. Standing at the viewpoint above the gorge, watching the water disappear through bridge after bridge into the darkness below, is one of those rare travel moments that no photograph fully captures. Your driver explains the geological story behind one of Lebanon's greatest natural wonders.

  Byblos

  Lunch in Byblos — optional stop on the way back On the drive back to Beirut, make an optional stop in Byblos — one of the oldest cities in the world — for a relaxed lunch at a waterfront restaurant overlooking the ancient fishing port. Fresh Lebanese mezze, grilled fish, and Mediterranean seafood with a Crusader castle and medieval harbour as your backdrop. Ask your driver to stop — it is well worth the detour.
