What to expect

Air Hitam Dalam Educational Forest – Walk on a wooden path through a quiet swamp forest and look for beautiful birds like the Mangrove Pitta, Ruddy Kingfisher, and Black-and-Red Broadbill. You might also spot night birds like owls and nightjars.

Permatang Pauh Paddy Fields & Teluk Air Tawar Coast – Then, we’ll head to the rice fields and beach area where many migratory birds stop during the winter. This is one of the best places in Malaysia to see wading birds like herons, sandpipers, and even rare birds like the Lesser Adjutant.
