The temple is a dedication to Saint Chin Swee of the Anxi, Fujian Provience of China. Chin Swee was a monk around 900 years ago. He was very pious and studied dharma forgoing wealth, prestige and name during the Song Dynasty. One of the temple's most recognised landmarks is a nine storey Pagoda, which is fitted with images of Buddha and thousands of blessing lamps.
