Start with a visit to a local market to explore fresh ingredients, then stroll through lush gardens at the farm, picking herbs and vegetables for your dishes. In a spacious kitchen, each participant enjoys their own station to prepare six dishes, choosing one from each category—curry, soup, stir-fry, noodles, and dessert—all tailored to your taste. You’ll also pound your own curry paste, adjusting the spice level to your liking. Exclusive to the full-day class is a tasting of papaya salad. Whether traveling solo, with family, or as a group, this culinary adventure concludes with a meal by a serene fishpond, overlooking the farm and mountains.

Pickup is available for all hotels within the Chiang Mai Old Town area. Pick up time is between 8.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. The tour operator will confirm the exact pick-up time via email. Please don't forget to recheck your email. Please plan to meet the driver in your hotel lobby at least 10 minutes before the scheduled. You may be considered a no-show if you arrive more than 10 minutes late or after the car has moved on from your hotel.

What to expect

Start your journey with a stop at a vibrant local market, where you’ll discover essential Thai herbs and spices, guided by your instructor who will explain their uses and significance in Thai cuisine.

Upon arriving at the farm, explore lush gardens filled with herbs, fruits, and vegetables that you’ll handpick to use in your recipes. With your own personal cooking station, you’ll create six delicious dishes, choosing one from each category—curry, soup, stir-fry, noodles, and dessert. Learn the art of pounding curry paste from scratch using a mortar and pestle, with the freedom to adjust the spice level to suit your taste. The class also includes an exclusive tasting of refreshing papaya salad, prepared the traditional Thai way.

As the cooking wraps up, enjoy your freshly made meal on the terrace overlooking a serene fishpond with breathtaking views of the farm and surrounding mountains. After a satisfying day, relax as we take you back to your hotel, leaving you with unforgettable memories and culinary skills to share back home.
