This self guided audio tour will take you along Liverpool's most storied street. Strolling along Hope Street you will soon discover that it's the hub of Liverpool's entertainment industry, containing four unique theatres and two prestigious musical/theatrical training academies. In addition, the street and surrounding area is home to numerous restaurants and bars making it an ideal place in which to relax and absorb the atmosphere.
Your walk begins at one of the city's magnificent buildings, the Metropolitan Cathedral. Moving on, you will hear the history of those four theatres and some of the famous performers who've walked the boards. As you wind your way you will be made aware of the diversity of the street's restaurants. The eateries range from the simple tapas style to exclusive awarding winning establishments. .
