The breathtaking coastline on which Zadar’s Old Town is situated is filled with seaside art installations and local peculiarities. On this walking tour, you’ll learn about Zadar's historical sights and unique traditions while crossing its famous peninsula.
Starting in front of the Land Gate, I'll share the area’s ancient history. I’ll guide you through Roman ruins and picturesque squares before taking you to the waterfront. Along the way, you’ll find out what the area was like under Venetian, French, Austrian-Hungarian, and Yugoslavian rule throughout centuries of conquest.
After visiting the hustle and bustle of Zadar’s Old Town centre, I’ll show you the seaside attractions, including the Greeting to the Sun, a 22-meter wide solar-charged disc that puts on a light show at night.
