On this walking tour, I’ll take you through winding cobblestone streets to find out how Christians, Muslims, and Jews created a unique cultural legacy that still resonates in every corner.
The tour starts and ends at Toledo’s historic heart and former Moorish marketplace, Plaza de Zocodover. You’ll journey from the imposing Alcázar fortress and through the ancient Jewish Quarter. I’ll point out ornate churches and hidden courtyards that reveal Toledo’s 2,000-year evolution. You’ll also hear stories about the Mozarabs – Christians who maintained their faith under Muslim rule while adopting elements of Arabic culture.
