You’ll learn more about Michelangelo’s frescoes - The Last Judgment, the Creation of Adam and the Genesis - as well as some specifics of the Stories of Moses and Jesus painted by Botticelli, Perugino and other famous Renaissance masters. The Sistine Chapel is still used today, most notably for Conclave – the secretive papal election. You’ll hear some anecdotes and little-known secrets about this amazing place.

  St. Peter's Basilica

  The tour ends with a visit to the most significant Catholic Church in the world - Saint Peter’s Basilica. Here you’ll view another of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, La Pietà, as well as hear more about the architecture and the rituals of the Basilica. You will also see the tombs of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II.

  Finally, you will enter Saint Peter’s Square to see Bernini’s famous statues and the chimney where the white smoke appears, to tell of a newly elected Pope.
