    The first stop on the tour will be the Coliseum. You’ll hear stories of the epic spectacles that were staged in this enormous Amphitheatre and discover some of the history behind it.

    After exploring the Colosseum, the tour will then take the short walk to the Arch of Constantine and the ancient Forum - the focal point of life in Ancient Rome. This is the location of the ruins of the Temple of Julius Caesar, built where he was cremated, the Arch of Titus, House of the Vestal Virgins, the Senate House, and the Basilica of Maxentius, to name but a few. The nature of the ruins will give you an idea of the social, religious and political importance of the Forum in the ancient city.

    Next, you’ll see Il Vittoriano, an enormous white marble structure built in 1885 to honour King Victor Emmanuel II. Its iconic and imposing design has led to it being known as the “Wedding Cake” by the locals. Not far from here is the Quirinal Palace, the official residence of the current Italian President.
