Your journey begins at the Discover Lancaster Visitors Center before heading into the heart of Lancaster City. Join your knowledgeable local guide for a leisurely walking tour through one of America's oldest inland cities, where more than 300 years of history come to life. Stroll past beautifully preserved architecture, bustling markets, and historic landmarks while discovering the people, events, and stories that shaped Lancaster into the thriving community it is today.

Penn Square is the center of our city and the site of many historical events, and a great place to view our beautiful and varied architecture. We'll discuss Lancaster's outsized role in the history of our country, some of the most prominent figures in that history, as well as tell you a couple of surprising stories about impactful people and events from our past.
