Experience historic Lancaster City one story—and one sip—at a time!
We’ll begin in the heart of downtown Lancaster’s historic Penn Square before setting out to explore more than 300 years of local history, all packed within a few walkable blocks.
As we make our way through charming streets and hidden alleys, you’ll discover the people, places, and stories that helped shape Lancaster and the nation. Along the way, we’ll explore landmarks connected to the nation’s oldest continuously operating farmers market, historic theaters and churches, the birthplace of the famous Conestoga Wagon, homes of notable Lancaster residents, and much more.
Your guide will bring Lancaster’s past to life through fascinating stories, colorful characters, architecture, art, and local history. You’ll discover how this relatively small city played an important role in America’s early development—and how its history continues to influence the Lancaster we know today.
There is a large monument at the intersection of King and Queen Streets. We meet at the monument - not across the street at the visitor center.
The experience ends at Columbia Kettle Works 2nd Gear Taproom with our last beer. 112 N. Water Street, Lancaster.
