Today is a free day in Salta, ideal to explore at your own rhythm. If you wish to add an extraordinary adventure, you may join the Train to the Clouds excursion (Optional not included), one of Argentina’s most emblematic experiences. The day starts early with a transfer to the bus station and a stop at El Alfarcito, where you’ll be welcomed with a traditional countryside breakfast surrounded by mountain scenery. The journey continues through winding Andean roads until reaching San Antonio de los Cobres, where the legendary train awaits. As it climbs to 4,220 meters above sea level, the ride unveils breathtaking views of viaducts, endless plains, and tunnels carved into the mountains. After the experience, there is free time in San Antonio de los Cobres to enjoy the town and savor a regional lunch (not included) before returning to Salta in the evening.
