We will pick you up from the hotel and then we will start the tour to the southeast of Albania. The first stop is at Ohrid Lake, UNESCO heritage, it is one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes, preserving a unique aquatic ecosystem that is of worldwide importance. Enjoying the view and then visiting the Drilon area and Tushemisht village.
Voskopoja sits 1,200 meters above sea-level and is a perfect place for hiking and walking. In the past, Voskopoja had over twenty Orthodox churches; however now only seven are still standing – complete with 18th frescos, both inside and out they are worth checking out. The landscape of Voskopoja and its surroundings are stunning, and this easy-going hike to the neighboring village of Shipska.
After breakfast, we will drive to Korca city. Korça is the city where the largest carnival in Albania is organized, taking place before Orthodox Easter. Musically, the city is known for the local songs, called “serenata”. We’ll get to know the city through a walking tour visiting Museums such as “The National Museum of Medieval Art”, The first Albanian school and the main monument to visit: the Orthodox Cathedral.
After lunch, we will drive to Lin village, it was once called “Lake of Light” perhaps because the light of both the sun and the moon wholly illuminate it's surface year-round. In the evening we are back in Tirana city
