Get beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains from a different perspective on a camel trek through the foothills on the outskirts of Marrakech. Take a welcome mint tea break at a local home. Ride through fruit orchards, see local villages and more.
The excursion will start at 08:30 from Marrakesh and head to Imlil, a splendid valley with its fortified houses, inhabited by a Berber population who have maintained their customs and traditions intact through time. Your first stop will be an extraordinarily beautiful panoramic view of the green fields of vegetables and cereals, forage and of course, olives, which is a typical product of the valley.
Continue on to visit a real Berber house to see how Berbers are living today, where you will be offered a mint tea break. Afterwards, continue on your way and stop at the cooperative of argan oil where women hand crack the argan nuts and squeeze it between two special stones, a technique they've used for centuries. Then, drive off-road through a mountain road where a small walking trek will be recommended for 1 Hour for a chance to admire the beauty of the Atlas nature with its different colors and numerous villages where clay colored homes still stand after many centuries.
Then, head to a small village called Ait Souka located at an altitude of 1800 meters for lunch in a traditional Berber house looking out at the Atlas Mountain Toubkal with a height of 4167 meters also known as the highest peak in North Africa. Then, enjoy a delicious taste of real Berber gastronomy with a menu of Berber tagine, couscous and fruits. Then, head back to Marrakesh via the Asni Valley and Tahnnaout village.
