You’ll be surprised how much of Vietnam’s former capital you can see in one day – all it takes is the right planning. On this 7 hour tour of the city you will get to discover Hanoi’s true character through its natural landscapes, museums, places of worship and more. Right after a convenient pick up from your hotel, you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex – a traffic-free area of monuments, memorials and botanical gardens, accompanied by an informative explanation from your guide. Go on to see the One Pillar Pagoda and Tran Quoc Pagoda before stopping by the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university. After a relaxing lunch, there will still be time left for a trip to Hoan Kiem Lake and more. At the end of the tour, there’s the option of a water puppet show, traditional cyclo tour, or avoiding the traffic mayhem to be delivered seamlessly back to your hotel.

3Temple of Literature & National University
The temple was built in 1070 and was reconstructed during the Trần dynasty (1225–1400) and in the subsequent dynasties. For nearly two centuries, despite wars and disasters, the temple has preserved ancient architectural styles of many dynasties as well as precious relics. Major restorations have taken place in 1920, 1954 and 2000.

The Trấn Quốc Pagoda in Hanoi is the oldest pagoda in the city, originally constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Lý Nam Đế (from 544 until 548), thus giving it an age of more than 1,500 years.
