For many centuries Venetians have preserved their culinary traditions which differ from the rest of Italy. Your knowledgeable local guide will help you to discover new flavours and hidden recipes as you stop off in historic food markets, authentic eateries and family-run gelaterias to taste the traditional local specialities. You will sample a variety of popular local treats, including famous “cicchetti”, which is a small snack, topped with various ingredients, usually with strong-flavoured fish but also vegetables, salami, cheeses and many others. Our tour is not only about the food: you will see the highlights of the city, learn about Venetian customs and traditions, and enjoy a relaxing walk along the canals.
