Your friendly tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby, then whisk you straight to the Simatai Great Wall. The 2-hour scenic drive treats you to rolling countryside views, while your guide shares fascinating histories and legendary stories about the Great Wall to set the mood for your adventure. Upon arrival, you get to choose your own start: head straight to the Simatai Great Wall to catch the golden glow of sunset from its ancient battlements, or first wander the lantern-lit lanes of Gubei Water Town and soak in its tranquil canal-side charm. Take the cable car up to the Simatai Great Wall, where only 2 to 3 exclusive sections are open to visitors at night. As you explore these well-preserved stretches, your guide will regale you with vivid historical anecdotes, snap memorable photos for you. You’ll also have plenty of free time to admire the wall’s path, illuminated by delicate red lanterns, and gaze down at the twinkling lights of Gubei Water Town.

After descending the Great Wall, step into the fairy-tale world of Gubei Water Town after dark.
