Datong (Pass by)
Our driver will pick you up from your Beijing city hotel, then you will be transferred to the train station. Enjoy a 2 hour bullet train ride on your own, once arrive at Datong. Your local tour guide will greet you upon arrival at the train station, then go over the day’s itinerary on your way to the first stop of the day - Hanging Temple.

1Hengshan Hanging Temple (Xuankong si)
The hanging temple is the only existed temple hosting worship for the Taoists, Confucians and Buddhists. Built in 491 A.D, Hanging Temple is an architectural wonder because it hangs on the west cliff of Jinxia Gorge more than 50 meters above the ground. It has established its unique position among the various temples and monastery with its characteristics of “peril, workmanship and miracle”. Follow your tour guide to explore the temples and get to know the detailed stories and histories. Next, stop at a local restaurant for a quick lunch. Then heading directly to Hengshan.

2Mount Hengshan
Once arrive at Hengshan, you will take the cable car to reach the mountain. Follow your tour guide to explore the essence of Mountain Hengshan. As early as 2,000 years ago, many emperors and celebrities visited Hengshan Mountain and left quite a lot of stone inscriptions of poems. The mountain comprises 72 peaks and runs 150 kilometers in extend, it possess the reputation of Buddhism and Taoist culture of China. The mountain also boasts 9 ponds, 9 wells, 9 pools, 10 caves, 15 rocks, 25 streams and 38 springs, in harmony with green forests and fragrant flowers and grass. Grand, graceful, sequestered and culturally abundant, Hengshan Mountain leads the five sacred mountains by its gracefulness.

Followed by your experienced tour guide, to explore the temples at the mountain, and enjoy the beauty of the Mother Nature. After the tour finished you will be transferred back to Datong railway station and heading back to Beijing. Our driver will pick you up from the train station and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing.
