Day 1
Marrakech – Telouet – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate

Your driver will pick you up at 8.30 am at your accommodation in Marrakech. You will cross the high atlas with some nice stop in berber villages, visit the Kasbah of Telouet and have lunch there. After lunch departure to Ait Benhaddou via the old caravan off road.

Ait Ben Haddou
A 16th century UNESCO site, Ait Benhaddou is one of the best preserved and most spectacular kasbahs in Morocco. A famous site for Hollywood films, Ait Benhaddou was used for the blockbuster movie of 2000, Gladiator. See the sun set from the Kasbah.

Day 2
: Ouarzazate –Draa Valley – Zagora – M’Hamid

M'Hamid
We continue through the valley of the Draa River with millions of palm trees and interessting old Kasbahs. The tour continues to the gorgeous village of Tamegrout where you will visit an ancient library with manuscripts of mathematics, theology, astrology, etc. You will also have the possibility to visit a local pottery factory and an underground Kasbah. Overnight incl. half board in M’Hamid Camp..

Day 3
: M’Hamid – Camel Trek Desert M'Hamid

After a rich breakfast you will enjoy an amazing camel ride in the midst of the Sahara desert. After approximately 3 hours ride, we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon we will travel further untilll we reach the Camp at Erg Khnata. Overnight including half board at Camp, Erg Khnata.

Day 4
Desert Mhamid – Erg Chigaga Adventure

After a rich breakfast you will enjoy a camel ride followed by a lunch break in M’Hamid. Around 3.00 pm you will get picked up by your driver and your journey will continue by 4×4 through the beautiful desert landscape to a sacred Oasis where we will enjoy a traditional “thé à la menthe”. This Oasis consists of a small group of palm trees around a source in the midst of the desert, where you can find running water throughout the whole year. In the afternoon we will travel a further 15 km till we reach the dunes of Erg Chigaga with its height of 300m and span of 40km. Enjoy the splendor of the sunset on the waves of the great sand dunes. Dinner, entertainment and overnight at the Sahara Camp, Erg Chigaga.

Day 5
: Erg Chigaga – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Tisselday

Enjoy the beautiful sunrise up a sand dune! A once in a lifetime experience! After breakfast we will travel along the old Paris – Dakar road via the dry Lake of Iriqui towards Foum Zguid. Lunch will be served in the berber village of Taznakht. We will make our way back towards Marrakech by crossing the sceneries of the high Atlas Mountains at the pass of 2.260 m hight. We will be back in “The Red City” by late afternoon.
