Take a guided tour of the Waccamaw River learning about the local wildlife, trees and plants along the river with a chance to explore a 48 acre private island. Each tour is different and unique since nature is so unpredictable; as well as different times of the year and seasons brings out various wildlife. But we typically see turtles, fish, non-venomous water snakes, squirrels, cranes, herons, kites, egrets, pileated woodpeckers, baby toads, dragon flies and lizards. Other animals that are a possibility but rarely seen include: deer, bald eagle, wild hogs, river otter, muskrat, beaver, alligator and black bear.

What to expect
But it's not just about the paddle. Your guide knows the best spots, and they'll make a pit-stop at the island. Everyone gets a chance to stretch their legs, explore the array of activities we offer (slack lines, zip line, hammock swings, 20 ft slide) and get the inside scoop on the island's upcoming events. It's not just a kayak tour; it's a full-on island experience.
