We’re heading south to the Anglo-Scottish border, where blood-soaked battlefields tell tales of centuries-old clashes. Then, it’s off to the jaw-droppingly gorgeous seaside village of Bamburgh. Fancy a wild run along the beach? Go for it! Want to explore the mighty Bamburgh Castle, standing proud since the 5th century? Even better.
But let’s be honest, you’re really here for Hogwarts, aren’t you? That’s right, we’re off to Alnwick Castle, where Harry Potter took his first broomstick flight! Soak up its spellbinding history, pose like a wizard, and channel your inner Gryffindor (or Slytherin, we don’t judge). And if you’re more into period drama than magic wands, you’ll be chuffed to know this grand fortress also starred in Downton Abbey.

This tour will depart at 8:15 am from 60 High Street, The Royal Mile, Edinburgh, EH1 1TB. Meet 15 minutes before departure and look for the check-in staff wearing blue high-visibility vests there to greet you.

We head south through the border to Bamburgh, home to the mighty Bamburgh castle which overlooks the beautiful beach. Learn about the 5th century Kings of Northumbria, and enjoy some fresh air before continuing your adventure. Here you have the option to visit Bamburgh Castle (pay locally).

Have your broomsticks at the ready as we're off to Hogwarts! Live out your Harry Potter dreams whilst marvelling at the magnificent medieval architecture and learning about the castle's over 700-year history.
