Experience Tanzania's highlights on this 5-day safari. Travel to Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park, three of Africa’s premier wildlife areas.
Get picked up from your accommodation and head to Tarangire National Park for some amazing game viewing. The game in this beautiful national park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. It is home to up to 300 elephants, which can be seen looking for underwater streams in dry riverbeds, as well as migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and other increible creatures.
Today we set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of Serengeti National Park - a famous migration corridor and UNESCO World heritage site. Here, you'll have a chance to witness the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. After exploring the park we'll head to your lodge/camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner.
After breakfast venture into the endless open plains of Serengeti National Park wilderness for a morning game drive. You will discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa”. Large prides of lions laze in the tall grasses; families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains; while giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers. If you are there during the spectacular wildebeest migration, you will be more than astonished! After this adventure, we'll travel to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where you will overnight.
Today you’ll rise early in the morning to descend the 600m high walls to the floor of the crater and get up close with one of Africa's seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. Here you will find a haven of African wildlife and you might also be lucky enough to witness the endangered Rhino!
In the morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located within the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash lake. The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
