The Governor’s Palace (Dinh Chúa Đảo) was the former residence and workplace of Con Dao’s colonial governors. Featuring French colonial architecture, it displays historical artifacts and photographs that provide insight into the island’s prison system and Vietnam’s revolutionary history.
Phu Hai Prison The oldest and largest prison in Con Dao, where thousands of Vietnamese revolutionaries were imprisoned. Discover the Rice Grinding Cell, the Dark Room, and the historic Stone Breaking Area. French Tiger Cages Explore the infamous prison complex built by the French, featuring narrow confinement cells designed to isolate and torture political prisoners. American Tiger Cages Built in 1971, these small, cramped cells were used by the U.S.-backed regime to imprison and suppress Vietnamese political prisoners. Cow Shed Isolation Area Originally a livestock facility, this site was later converted into solitary confinement cells for female and political prisoners under the French and U.S.-backed regimes.
Vo Thi Sau’s Grave Located in Hang Duong Cemetery, the grave of national heroine Vo Thi Sau is one of Con Dao's most sacred sites. Executed at the age of 19 during the French colonial period, she is remembered for her courage and patriotism. Today, visitors come to pay their respects and experience the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere. After the visit, our vehicle will transfer you back to your hotel.
