It’s your tour - visit the rain forest at Kaitoke (known as Rivendell for LoRs fans) or visit the stunning Kapiti Coast beaches. Wellington City highlights can also be included.
Ideal if you have visited Wellington before or want to go further. We will get in touch after you book to create your bespoke itinerary.

Please let us know your preferred pick-up location eg the Port, the Airport or your accommodation. Cruise Ship passengers: Port pick up and drop off is included. We will adjust our timing to meet your ship’s timetable, if needed. Independent travellers: We pick you up from your centrally located accommodation. If you would like a pick up from somewhere else, please ask. Our online booking system has a suggested start time of 9.30am. We confirm your pick up details before you travel. Itinerary

Duration: 4 to 6 hours (approximately)

    Your itinerary will reflect your interests, time available and the weather. If there is something particular you have in mind, please let us know. We will stop for lunch along the way, location based around when hunger strikes. Heading north, we drive around the visually beautiful & historically significant Porirua Harbour. For people interested in visual arts, we can stop at the Pātaka Art Museum to check out their current community & cultural exhibitions.

    Driving the Centennial Highway to the delightful seaside village of Paekākāriki, we check out the village & the beach. We can also visit QEII Park museum dedicated to the 15,000 US troops stationed there in WWII.

    An option for the car lovers out there - we can visit the Southern Hemisphere's premier privately owned automotive collection at Paraparaumu, with over 400 cars for viewing.

    Walk on the beach, enjoy close up views of Kapiti Island, check out the shops or lunch on fresh locally caught Fish and Chips.

    Offering incredible views of the Kāpiti Coast, we will drive over the Paekākāriki Hill to the Hutt Valley. Along the way we will stop for photos, possibly meeting some eels at the historic Battle Hill Farm & visit the wetlands of Pāuatahanui.

    Returning to the city, we will drive along the Harbour’s edge on land raised in the massive 1855 earthquake. If time permits, we will finish off with a drive through historic Thorndon village & a visit to the Botanic Gardens, before dropping you at your preferred location.
