Meeting and pickup
We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha airports. For airport pickups, your driver will be waiting with a sign displaying your name. Karibu!
What to expect
From here, continue through the montane rainforest, a rich ecosystem with diverse wildlife and birdlife. You may spot colobus and blue monkeys, along with bird species such as turacos and hornbills. This quieter side of the mountain may also show signs of larger wildlife like buffalo and elephants.
The drive continues to Morum Barrier (3,400m), where your hike begins. From the edge of the Shira Plateau, enjoy a guided trek across high-altitude landscapes toward Cathedral Point (3,870m), with panoramic views and striking volcanic scenery.
After reaching Cathedral Point, take time to rest and enjoy the views before descending back to Morum Barrier, where your vehicle awaits. You will then return to your hotel in the late afternoon, completing a memorable one-day Kilimanjaro experience without overnight trekking.
