This is not a typical safari—it’s the most complete way to experience Arusha National Park in a single day, combining three unique adventures: a walking safari, canoe safari, and classic game drive.
Located just a short drive from Arusha, the park is often seen as the perfect introduction before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or heading to larger safari destinations—but it offers far more than expected. Dominated by the beautiful Mount Meru, the landscape features lush forests, open plains, the Ngurdoto Crater, and the alkaline Momella Lakes, a haven for flamingos and birdlife.
Start your day on foot with an armed ranger, walking through diverse landscapes where giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and monkeys roam freely, with a chance to visit a scenic waterfall along the way. Continue with a peaceful canoe safari, gliding past hippos and water birds, before finishing with a game drive for broader wildlife viewing.

We will pick you up in the morning from your hotel in Moshi, Arusha or upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro/Arusha airports. at the airports we will be holding a printed paper of your name on it. Karibu!

1Arusha National Park
Your day begins with an early morning pickup from Arusha, Moshi, or nearby locations, followed by a scenic drive to Arusha National Park. Walking Safari (2–3 Hours) Upon arrival, meet your professional guide and armed ranger for a guided walking safari. Explore the park on foot, getting closer to wildlife than a vehicle allows. Learn about animal tracks, plants, and ecosystems while encountering giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and scenic waterfall within the park for a refreshing nature break. Canoe Safari (Momella Lakes) Continue to the Momella Lakes for a canoe safari (weather dependent). Glide quietly across the water, observing hippos, flamingos, and other birdlife with Mount Meru as your backdrop. Game Drive Safari After lunch, enjoy a classic game drive through the park’s varied landscapes—open plains, forest, and crater lakes—spotting wildlife from a wider perspective before returning to your hotel in the evening.

Mount Meru (Pass by)
Mount Meru rises from the heart of Arusha National Park and is the dominant feature of the landscape throughout your experience. As you explore the park—on foot, by canoe, and during the game drive—you’ll enjoy continuous, close-up views of this beautiful volcanic mountain, creating a dramatic and ever-changing backdrop. On clear days, you may also catch distant views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, appearing on the horizon beyond the plains.

The ranger is highly skilled in wildlife behavior and ensures safe distances are maintained at all times. Routes are carefully selected based on current conditions, and the pace is relaxed and controlled. This is a well-established activity within the park and is considered very safe when guided professionally.
- Canoe Safari -- Safety Canoeing takes place on the calm waters of the Momella Lakes under the supervision of trained guides. Guests are provided with life jackets, and the activity is conducted in safe zones away from wildlife. The canoes are stable and suitable for beginners, making this a peaceful and secure way to experience the park from a different perspective.
