BEAUTIFUL TREK in one of the best places in the world.
Our 4-day Amalfi Coast Trekking will let you discover the beauties of the area, away from the crowd and traffic.
We will hike along mountain paths and old mule tracks that connect all the villages and towns of the Amalfi Coast.
This is an itinerary designed for you to visit and get to know the Amalfi Coast on foot. Walk through paths used for centuries to transport goods and food from one village to another, to sell the products of the land in the markets.
The Amalfi Coast Trekking tour will allow us to visit the seaside villages of Maiori, Minori and Atrani, Amalfi, Ravello and its marvelous Villas. The spectacular Path of Gods, and Positano.
- A certain physical level is required; every day we will walk between
8 to 12 km, both uphill and downhill.
- There’s a minimum number of 4 Participants.
- We will get your suitcase from one accommodation to the next one. You only carry a daybag.

We meet at the lobby of the Hotel Victoria Maiorino, in Corso Mazzini, in the town of Cava de' Tirreni (SA). Meeting time is at 8am, on Day 1

Itinerary

    Day 1

    Cava de' Tirreni - Avvocata Sanctuary - Maiori

    You will spend the first night in our home-town, Cava de' Tirreni, from where the trek starts. You will be staying in an accommodation centrally located, near the historical center. Very close are the endless shops, coffeeshops, restaurants, pizzerias, etc.

    In the morning, before we start hiking, we will have a guided tour of the 11th century Benedictine Abbey, and you'll see the Church, the Cloister, the Catacumbs, the small Museum and the Chapter Room, with the Maiolica floor.

    This will be the final destination of Day 1, and you will sleep in a local B&B, and have dinner in one of the restaurants in town.

    AMALFI COAST: Maiori - Minori - Ravello - Atrani - Amalfi

    From Maiori to Minori, we will walk on the Lemons' Trail. Here we will have beautiful views of the mountains and sea, we will walk among lemon groves. Included in the itinerary is the visit to a lemon garden & Tasting of produce made with lemons.

    Ravello

    From Minori we will walk along the trail that locals still use nowaday to deliver their produce around, to bring their grocery home, etc. And within an hour, an hour and half, we will reach Ravello, where you will have some free time to visit attractions there, and have your boxed lunch.

    Villa Rufolo

    This is one place we recommend you to visit: Villa Rufolo is the place where they hold Classical Music Concert during the summer time. You will have beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast, and walk among beautiful flowers, plants, and trees. Admission ticket: euro 7

    Once we leave Ravello, in one hour, we will reach the beautiful hamlet (borgo) of Atrani: the municipality has the smallest surface area of Italy.

    Amalfi

    The amazing town of Amalfi is the final destination of our second day hiking. Here you have free time to visit the local attractions, have a gelato, a pastry, and/or a cappuccino.

    Duomo di Sant'Andrea

    We suggest you to visit the Duomo of Saint Andrew, in Amalfi. You will visit the cloister, the museum, the cript and the Church. Admission ticket: euro 3

    Another polace we suggest you to visit is the Paper Museum, in Amalfi. Located at the top-end of town (10 minutes walking), you will have the chance to see how in the Middle Ages people were making Paper. The machinery theu used were made out of wood and steel and were actioned by the force of the river Canneto that goes through the town. With an english guided tour, you will find out all the details about it, and you will even make a piece of paper yourself, using a strainer. Admisison ticket: euro 5

    Amalfi - Mills Valley - Agerola

    You will climb the ancient stairs and paths, amid lemon trees full of springs and waterfalls amid high cliffs. Within the deep valley we will see several examples of industry from as early as the 10th century, such as the remains of an old aqueduct and ironworks. There are also ruins of several paper factories that remain one of the few links to the history of wealth and power of the medieval Republic of Amalfi. On the Valley of the Mills there’s a subtropical microclimate, where you may find Cyclamen, Wild Orchids, Pterris vittata, Pinguicula hirtiflora (a carnivorous plant), Woodwardia Radicans, and Erica terminalis (a rare species of the giant fern which has its origins in the tertiary period).

    We will finish the hike today in the town of Agerola, where you will spend the night at the Hotel Gentile.

  • Day 4

    Path of Gods - Positano

    It starts from the square in the hamlet of Bomerano in Agerola. On the first part offers outstanding views of Praiano, Positano, Li Galli islets, and Capri, and the Grotta Biscotto, an old shepherds shelter, built into the rock and inhabited since Prehistoric times. Along the way we walk in the shade of elm and oak trees surrounded by myrtle and juniper; cross wild precipices full of caves and small vineyards. Here is where the ped’ e palomma grapes are harvested. During the hike, we meet a local shepherd who will share with us a selection of locally sourced produce and a glass of red wine. Less than 3 hours to reach the village of Nocelle, and we have 1 hour going down, arriving in the center of Positano. In Positano you will have free time to wander its narrow streets or enjoy an espresso and pastry at a local cafe. At around 5pm, we will take the ferry from Positano to Salerno. The trek will end after we take you to your overnight accommodation.

    Amalfi Coast

    At the end of the trek, we will take a panoramic ferry ride (included)from Positano to Salerno. It will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and we will sail along the Amalfi Coast passing: Positano, Praiano, Amalfi, Atrani, Minori, Maiori, Cetara, Erchie, Vietri sul mare, and Salerno

    From the harbour in Salerno, there will be a transfer back to Cava de' Tirreni, where your overnight accommodation is located. Included in the itinerary.
