The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex and the seat of the Bishops of Bodbe located 2 km from the town of Sighnaghi, Kakheti, Georgia. Originally built in the 9th century.
Known as the "City of Love," Sighnaghi is one of Georgia's smallest and most beautiful towns. Perched on a steep hill, it features charming 18th and 19th-century Italian-style architecture, colorful wooden balconies, and winding cobblestone streets. During our drive through the town, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Alazani Valley and the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Pass by without stopping (or a quick photo stop upon request)
Signagi or Sighnaghi is a town in Georgia's easternmost region of Kakheti and the administrative center of the Signagi Municipality
The monument is located on the bridge in the middle of the city. For some reasons it reminds visitors of Sancho Pansa
St. Stephen's Church is located in Kakheti, in the city of Sighnaghi. It was built in the XVIII century, in 1762. The church is built in the largest tower of the Sighnaghi fence, which is called the "King or Kiziki Tower". St. Stephen's Church is one of the most interesting and distinguished monuments of Sighnaghi.
On our way from Sighnaghi toward Kvareli, we will pass the iconic Gremi Citadel. This 16th-century architectural monument was once the capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti. Its dramatic silhouette against the mountains is one of the most photographed sights in the region.
Throughout the journey, the majestic peaks of the Greater Caucasus Mountains will serve as our constant backdrop. You will see snow-capped summits and lush green slopes that define the border between Georgia and the North Caucasus.
The grand finale of your tour. Explore a massive 7.7-kilometer tunnel carved deep into the Caucasus mountains. You have the total freedom to choose and purchase your own experience upon arrival—whether that is a simple walking tour of the tunnel, a premium wine tasting, or a hands-on masterclass baking Georgian Puri bread and making Churchkhela. General admission is free. To give you the ultimate flexibility, premium activities like wine tastings and culinary masterclasses are kept separate (averaging 30 GEL / $11 USD per person). This allows you to completely customize your experience upon arrival!
After a full day of exploring the history, culture, and flavors of the Kakheti region, sit back and relax in your spacious, climate-controlled SUV for the scenic evening drive back to the capital.
