Arrive and check in to Houseboat (Private boat for you) which is also called as Kettuvallom (the boat will ready around 1200 hrs) and begin your journey through the picturesque backwaters and small lakes of Kerala. Your houseboat has bedrooms with attached toilet, a dining area cum sit out. There will be 3 accompanying staff in the boat. One driver, one helper and one cook. Lunch, Evening Tea, Snacks and Dinner will be cooked and served on board by the accompanying cook. The Protestant church was originally built by Portuguese in 1503 AD and is believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India. This was initially built of timber and later reconstructed in stone masonry. It was restored in 1779 by Protestant Dutch, converted to an Anglican church by the British in 1795 and is present governed by the Church of South India. Vasco da gama was buried here in 1524 before his remains were moved to Lisbon, Portugal. The tombstone still remains.
