    Old Quarter

    Around 7:45am - 8:00am Tour guide and vehicle pick you up at your hotels in Hanoi Qld Quarter and departure to Ninh Binh. On the way you will have short break to stretch your legs.

    Hoa Lu temples of the Dinh & Le Dynasties

    On arrival of Ninh Binh around 11:00am, you visit temples dedicated to King Dinh Tien Hoang (923-979) and Le Dai Hanh (941-1005). Tour guide give you an introduction of Vietnam history in 10th century.

    Ninh Binh Mountain Side Homestay & Cafe

    12:00 Continue bus drive to Tam Coc for lunch. On the way take pictures of villages and the stunning landscapes.

    Tam Cốc-Bich Dộng

    13:30 Board on sampans to visit Tam Coc (Three caves). The boat trip through enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields leave a good memory. Around 15:30 Leisurely cycling on country road around village. This is a great experience of the trip.

    Mua Caves

    Arrive at Mua Cave and start an amazing hiking up to the top of Ngoa Long mountain (lying dragon moutain) for watching the spectacular rice valley with precious view of the nature. Down a sleepy road between rice paddies, this cave (the name means 'Cave of Dance') is not terribly impressive, but there are panoramic views from the peak above. A stone staircase beside the cave entrance zigzags through the karst (beware the goat droppings) and it’s almost 500 steps to a simple altar to Quan Am (the Goddess of Mercy). Look west for the Ngo Dong River winding through Tam Coc. Get on vehicle to to to Tam Coc for checkin Bungalow/Hotel.

    Tam Coc - Cuc Phuong - Galaxy Cave - Hanoi (B/L)

    8:30 After breakfast, check out your hotel then transfer to Cuc Phuong national park - Vietnam’s first and largest national park. The site is home to a large range of flora and fauna. Inhabitants of the park include 97 species of mammals, most notable are the endangered langurs; 300 species of birds; 36 reptilian species; 17 species of amphibians; 11 species of fish; 2,000 species of vascular plants, and thousands of species of insects, most of which do not bite. A number of species in the park are listed on Vietnam Red Book of endangered species.

    You will visit the langurs and the monkey, gibbons in the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, witnessing them in their natural environment. Here, professional staffs protect monkeys and langurs from becoming extinct. The environment is kept as close to their natural habitat as possible. Primates in the park include macaques, gibbon, Francois' leaf monkey and slow loris. Then we will have lunch in a restaurant in the center of Cuc Phuong National Park.

    This thousand-year-old tree is also very tall (around 45 meters) but its diameter is fourth times compared to the diameter of Dang ancient tree. It need at least 20 adults with their arm length full to embrace completely the whole tree trunk. Let’s trek about 3 km to meet this special wonder of the Mother Nature here.

    Cave of Prehistoric man is the residential relic of the prehistoric man – a precious heritage of Cuc Phuong National Park. It will take you about 300 meters to walk from the main road then climb up about fifty steps against the slope stone stairs to reach the mouth of the cave.

    After Cuc Phuong, we head to Galaxy Cave (Động Thiên Hà) for a wonderful visit. You will move from Muong Tho Ha village, Son Ha commune to a small canal with the length of about 1km in the Ben Dang river system, then continue walking on the stone road (500m) near the foot of the Tuong Mountain to get to the gate of the Galaxy Cave. You will be overwhelmed by the illusion, enchanting of a world of stalactites. You will take a boat gliding on the winding Galaxy, endless with layers and layers of stalactites shimmering color, contemplate the island of Fairy, Mother Milk, Fish transform to Dragon… and lost in Fairy realms, immersed with the paradise scenery. The Galaxy cave remain mostly untouched with thousands of bats inheritance. Archaeologists also find traces of the ancient Vietnamese with mollusk shell, raw pottery pieces, animal bones and tortoise shell.

    Old Quarter

    16:00 Get back to the the car to go back to Hanoi. After 2.5-hour drive, you arrive back in Hanoi. We drop you off at your hotel around 18:00. End of the trip!
