Meeting point

Reception is on the 2nd floor of West Building. Please enter the West Building (to the left as you face us) and take the elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor.

What to expect

-Event flow-
1) Start the introduction
2) Enjoy two traditional dance performances (8-10 minutes in total)
3) English speaking staff will acquaint you with a brief background information of Maiko and Geiko world
4) Next you will be able to ask questions to the Maiko
5) To follow, we have 10-15 minutes dedicated to taking pictures with her
6) To wrap up, the Maiko will present you with her Hanameishi which is the Maiko's cheerfully customized name card
7) Also, as you depart you will be provided with a small gift with the oppotunity to shop for high-quality Japanese goods right after the show at Kyoto Handicraft Center

-Know before you go-
1) This is not a private plan. You will join with other guests.
2) Capacity is 30 people
3) Reception opens 30 minutes prior to show time
4) Arrive at the venue at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the show
5) Seats are free seats and all participants can be seated
6) In case you arrive late, you can still enter during the event
7) Taxis are difficult to catch in Kyoto during high season, and city buses are crowded. Please allow plenty of time for your visit.
8) Photography is allowed during the event.
