Plovdiv is the second biggest town of Bulgaria offering great number of extremely valuable historical sites. The Old town of Plovdiv is a living museum that is absolutely a must to see. The village of Koprivshtitsa is one of the most emblematic and historical sites of Bulgaria. Here were born many revolutionaries, scholars, writers, poets, men of letter. Here broke the very important April uprising in 1878 that indirectly led to the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottoman domination two years later. The architecture of the houses of Koprivshtits is also unique. You will admire beautiful old houses bearing the spirit of the olden times.
