The Mardi Agro Technology Park is one of the most sought after places to visit in Langkawi. Many tourists, especially those who are into farming and gardening, always make it a point to drop by this 35-hectare farmland. The park is owned and financed by the government and opened its doors to the public in 1990. At first, its main purpose was for agricultural research but the beauty of the place caught the attention of tourists and locals alike. It is strategically located at the side of Padang Matsirat’s Lubuk Semilang Recreational Park.

2Durian Perangin Waterfall
Durian Perangin waterfall is situated on the north eastern part of Langkawi and doesn’t smell or taste like Durian at all. The name is a result of the tall durian trees that grow in the forests near the waterfall. Durian Perangin is a multi-tiered waterfall and each cascade makes a freshwater pool at its base. It is slanted towards the northern part of Gunung Raya, the highest mountain peak in Langkawi. The waterfall is surrounded by intriguing rock formations and dense forest. The water of Durian Perangin is cool and refreshing which makes it a popular spot among locals for picnics or a quiet day away. You can also ride an ATV to explore more in this area at your own cost.
