The mythical lake on the island of Dayang Bunting in Langkawi, Malaysia is called the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden, or Tasik Dayang Bunting: Legend The lake is named after the legend of Mambang Sari, a celestial princess who lost her infant child and laid his remains in the lake. Some believe that barren women who bathe in the lake will become pregnant.
