The Rishikesh Half-Day Ashram Tour offers a spiritual and cultural immersion into the ashrams (spiritual retreat centers) of Rishikesh, a renowned pilgrimage destination in India.
This tour typically includes visits to some of the most famous ashrams in the area, where visitors can participate in yoga and meditation sessions, learn about the teachings of Hinduism and other spiritual traditions, and experience the peaceful and serene atmosphere of these sacred places.
Throughout the tour, visitors can learn about the history and significance of each ashram, as well as the practices and teachings of the spiritual leaders who founded them.
Pickup and drop-off services are available for hotels within Tapovan, Lakshman Jhula, and Ram Jhula areas.
We will meet you at Ram Jhula. After that, the walking tour will commence.
Begin your tour at Ram Jhula, a prominent suspension bridge across the Ganges River. Take in the panoramic views of the river and the surrounding hills.
From Ram Jhula, head towards Sivananda Ashram, which is just a short walk away. This ashram, founded by Swami Sivananda, is known for its serene atmosphere and yoga and meditation programs.
Next, make your way to Parmarth Niketan Ashram, located on the banks of the Ganges. This ashram is famous for its evening Ganga Aarti ceremony, but during the day, you can explore the beautiful gardens, attend spiritual lectures, or simply sit by the river for some quiet contemplation.
After Parmarth Niketan, head towards The Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia. This abandoned ashram gained fame when The Beatles visited here in the late 1960s. Although it's now in a state of ruins, it's still a fascinating place to explore, with colorful graffiti and a tranquil atmosphere.
