After pickup at your Madurai hotel at 7 am, travel by private car and driver to (Tiruchirappalli) to visit the Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple (or Thiruvarangam Tamil) where your guide explains why this Hindu temple, dedicated to Ranganatha (a reclining form of Vishnu) is so important and why the temple's location, on an island in the Cauvery River has left it vulnerable to natural disasters.

Also known as Periya Kovil, Brihadeshwara Temple, RajaRajeswara Temple and Rajarajeswaram, this temple is one of the largest in India. Around 4 pm, relax in your private car while your driver takes you back to your hotel in Madurai, arriving around 5 pm.
