Maison ZEYSSOLFF is one of the few wineries in Alsace with some century-old oak casks, each with a capacity of 10,000L, still in use for the vinification of its wines. Its greatest curiosity is the ZEYSSOLFF barrel, made in 1897 for the Paris Universal Exhibition (1900). This barrel is still in use today.
The immersive experience, with projections on the barrels and sound work, is unique in France.
Children are welcome on the tour, which is suitable for everyone.
A piece of Alsatian gingerbread is gifted to you, and you'll leave with a bottle of home-made mulled wine!

The ZEYSSOLFF House is located in front of a large parking. Easily accessible by train: Gertwiller station (5min walk) or Barr station (20 min walk). Shop accessible to people with reduced mobility but cellar not wheelchair accessible.
What to expect
Continue the visit to our historic cellar, where you will discover centuries-old oak barrels still in use , as well as an exceptional coat of arms presented at the 1900 Paris World's Fair.
The highlight of the visit is our 180° immersive film, projected directly onto the barrels, a unique experience in France. This film is not a remake of what can be found to this day when we tell the work of the vine. But a film about our rich history, and our philosophy of work.
The tour ends with a tasting accompanied by a slice of kougelhopf.
An experience rewarded with three national trophies of wine tourism including the Trophée National de l'Oenotourisme Atout France 2022.
Each participant repairs with a bottle of mulled wine 37.5cl and gingerbread.
