Luciaveniceguide@gmail.com contact me for more dates - We will start our two-hour tour from the historic Rialto area, defined by historians as "Europe's Wall Street in the Middle Ages". We will discover the secrets of the Rialto Point of Sale and I will reveal the Venetian point of view on the Rialto Bridge and its spectacular view of the Grand Canal. We will discover why masks and Carnival are so important in Venice and then away from the crowds, we will take a walk to discover the unique layout of the city: bridges, elegant private palaces, narrow alleys, large and small fields (our squares), elaborate stone well heads. Finally we will reach the most beautiful square in the world, Piazza San Marco, to see all the famous architecture (the Doge's Palace, the Sansovino Library, the Bridge of Sighs, the Bell Tower ...).
I will guide you through the millennium of life of the Serenissima Republic. Then, we discover the fascinating past of this unique city and its intriguing present.

You will meet Lucia, your guide, at the well in the middle of the campo (kind of square). We will start to discover the city with fundamental information, such as its subdivision, origins, water supply and its rules for loving and respecting the city!

8Piazza San Marco
Let's explore San Marco Square, your guide will show you some details and secrets of the Doge's Palace, the San Marco Basilica and the main monuments of the most beautiful square of the world: the bell tower, the clock tower, the loggia, the Marciana library, the procuratie, the former royal palace during the foreign dominations and columns with unique decorations I will reveal to you the secrets (only outside). We will admire the unique view of the main entrance to the city of the past while also discovering the terrible legends that increase its charm. We will end the tour in this fascinating place and I will provide you with details and directions for the continuation of your visit to Venice
